Who we are

Environment & Sustainability Unredacted (the “app”) is provided by Adib Ibrahim (“we”, “us”). Adib Ibrahim is the data controller for personal data processed through the app and is responsible for deciding how and why that data is used. You can reach us at support@esunredacted.com.

Personal data we collect

• Account data: name (if provided), email address and login credentials or the identifier from the sign-in provider you choose (Google, Apple, Microsoft).
• Purchase and entitlement data: order reference, product purchased, purchase status and any printed access code you redeem. Card and billing data is collected and held by Paddle, not by us.
• Usage data: reading progress, saved entries, search activity within the app.
• Technical data: device type, browser, IP address, and diagnostic or error logs.
• Support data: the content of messages you send us.

Why we use it, and our legal basis

• Creating and running your account, and giving you the access you paid for — performance of our contract with you.
• Saving bookmarks, progress and preferences — performance of our contract with you.
• Security, fraud prevention and preventing abuse of access codes — our legitimate interests in protecting the service.
• Diagnosing faults and improving the app — our legitimate interests in maintaining a reliable product.
• Responding to support requests — performance of our contract or our legitimate interests.
• Optional marketing emails — your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
• Meeting tax, accounting and other legal duties — compliance with a legal obligation.

Who we share data with

• Service providers and subprocessors that host the app, store its database, send transactional email and provide error monitoring.
• Paddle.com Market Ltd, our Merchant of Record, for the sale of the product, order management, payments, invoicing and tax compliance.
• Professional advisers such as accountants and lawyers, where needed.
• Authorities or regulators where we are required to disclose data by law.

We do not sell your personal data.

International transfers

Some of our providers process data outside the UK and EEA. Where that happens we rely on an adequacy decision or on Standard Contractual Clauses together with appropriate technical safeguards.

Retention

We keep account, entitlement and purchase records for as long as your account is active and afterwards only where needed for legal, tax or dispute purposes (normally up to six years for transaction records). Other data is deleted or anonymised once it is no longer needed. You can ask us to delete your account at any time.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law you may request access to your data, correction of inaccurate data, erasure, restriction of processing, portability, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where we rely on consent you can withdraw it at any time. Email support@esunredacted.com and we will respond within one month. If you are in the UK or EEA you also have the right to complain to your supervisory authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office).

Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit, access controls and row-level database security, to protect personal data.

Cookies and local storage

We use essential cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in and to remember your reading position and preferences. These are required for the app to work. If we introduce analytics or marketing cookies we will ask for your consent first and give you a way to manage your preferences.

Changes

We may update this notice. Material changes will be highlighted in the app, and the date at the top will be revised.
